My Great Day

Our weekend started with playgroup at our church. I am helping my friend with playgroup this year, and so far it has been fun. It was only half a day of work (looking after other peoples kids). I got to see my husband on his lunch break, and it was a nice and quiet afternoon.

On Saturday we drove to Three Hills to be part of a fabric sale. The drive was nice in the brisk fall weather. The kids were in happy moods (no crying for the whole drive). I was able to have a conversation with my husband, with interruptions, but still a conversation!! And when we got to Three Hills main street we even seen a window sign that said " We love you Shyla!". This is cool because my good friends name is Shyla and we could share in this great day without even being together. The fabric was fairly picked over, but I was still able to find material for H2's quilt. And the last of the material for H1's quilt to finish it off.

We ate at the local Chinese restaurant. Both kids ate!! And it was reasonable! Yep I am pleased so far!! We went on a tour of the town and they had some cute houses, and the town has a huge Christian school! The drive home was also nice H1 played nicely and H2 had a nap. We drove to the farm and said hello to Greg's Aunt and Uncle visiting from Edson. Greg went hunting and the kids and I went home. We played in the yard, and had a great time. The kids went to bed and Greg and I got to watch a movie. With no interruptions!!

Our church service doesn't start until 11:00, so we got to have a slow morning. We all ate and bathed and got to church early. It was my turn to teach Sunday school and over all for teaching the little guys it went well. This afternoon H1 and I had a nap, and when I woke up I got to skype with my good friend Trinda. We had supper and had the kitchen clean and house ready to go for the week before the kids went to bed. I got to listen to Greg rough house with our boys. The sound of giggling and roars, what a great way to end a great weekend.

Days like these don't really come by all the time, so when they do we need to treasure them!

** I did leave out one not so great moment with a family member, dealing with ignorance and racial comments (not directed towards "us" BUT still very inappropriate). But I am going to leave this topic for another post once I have collected my thoughts. This weekend, this great weekend I wanted to keep the way I want to remember it!
